The builder

Everything on the card is yours to decide.

The builder runs in your browser — nothing to install. You start from the print-tested shell and make it yours: artwork, captions, colours, deco. When it looks right, you export a file your slicer opens without a single fix-up.

What it does

Artwork

Drop in any image

Your picture is traced into clean, printable colour regions and inlaid flush into the shell — recessed, never raised, so the face prints smooth.

Text

Captions in 11 typefaces

Names, eras, dates — real vector type, chosen from eleven open-licence faces that survive being milled into plastic at photocard scale.

Deco

Twelve built-in decorations

Bows, stars, hearts and friends — hand-drawn shapes that place, scale and print exactly like your artwork does.

Both faces

Back-face artwork too

The rear plate takes artwork as well, with the joint automatically fenced off so decoration never weakens the click.

Export

Print-ready multi-colour 3MF

Filaments pre-assigned, mesh validated before it leaves the app. If it wouldn’t print, the builder tells you instead of your slicer finding out.

The shell

A part that’s been printed

Two halves on a sliding dovetail, top-loading, face-down printing with no supports, 4 mm hanging hole. Tolerances settled on a real printer.

How access works

The builder is licensed, and the licence is lifetime — no subscription, no renewal, no rent. One code, redeemed once, and your account is the licence.

Codes arrive with the MakerWorld crowdfunding launch. Backers get theirs when the campaign closes; the email list hears the moment it opens.

The short version

  • Design and print for yourself on the personal licence
  • Sell your prints with the maker licence
  • Lifetime access on every tier — the tool only gets better
  • Your designs save to your account, reopen anywhere

Fair questions

Do I need a 3D printer?

To print it yourself, yes — any modern printer works, and multi-colour shines on an AMS-style setup. No printer? The free blank holder is a good way to test a print service before the builder opens.

What card sizes fit?

The standard 55 × 85 mm photocard, sleeved. More card presets are on the roadmap after launch.

Which slicers open the export?

The 3MF is Bambu-flavoured and opens with filaments pre-assigned in Bambu Studio; Orca and Cura read it too.

Whose artwork can I use?

Artwork you upload is your responsibility — use images you own or have the right to print. The builder ships with no copyrighted artwork, deliberately.

Is it really lifetime?

Yes. Some tools in this space charge yearly rent; we decided against it and we say so loudly. Buy once, keep it.
