About

Made by a collector with a print bed.

Echoes of Idols started the way most collector projects do: a card that deserved better than the bottom of a drawer, and a 3D printer within reach.

The first holders were one-offs — measured, printed, remeasured, printed again. The two-part shell went through fit trials with calipers before the joint tolerance was allowed to be a number. Somewhere along the way the question changed from “can I print a holder for this card?” to “can everyone design their own?” — and the builder is the answer.

Everything here is designed and print-tested in Melbourne, and the build has been shared in public from the start — prototypes, failed prints and all — over on Instagram.
